General Map:  Below you will find a map, showing the general order in which to take out the portals.  PK stands for portal keeper if they are going to pop, it shows where and when.

Designations should occur before you start up the raid.

  • Designate 1-2 Tanks with a Vorpals to take out Orthon's/Devils/Casters as they appear.  They should break off beating on the portal when they do appear, and take them out ASAP.  If the portal goes down while they are trying to kill, just pull the MOB to the next portal and continue killing it.  As you arrive at a portal, you should kill a few of the mobs before jumping in with the others to beat on the portal.
  • Designate a 1-2 man team to handle portal keepers.  Preferably casters/clerics that can take them out 1 shot style, Finger/PK/Destruct.
  • Designate 2 Tanks to do the initial pulls from left and right.
  • You can opt to have one caster stay at the portals, and Finger/PK/Destruct trash mobs.

Pull out your Vorpals!!  Start out with a Web or two if you have them, otherwise, a Symbol of stunning works well here too if you have it.  Refrain from using dancing ball/any fog spells as it adds a massive amount of LAG.  Designated tanks start the pull at the leaders call.  As you kill the last mob, portals will start to appear that you must kill. There is 15 of them.

The first portal will be right in front of you. Basic strategy, make sure the party has haste, rage, and bard songs at all times.  Throw up a Prayer on each portal and smash smash smash away.  If mobs appear, the designated tank(s) and or Caster will take them out.  Everyone should be on the portal beating it, even the casters and clerics.  Even if your doing 5 points of damage, it all helps.

The leader of this section will call which portal you are going to next.  Please do so before the portal is down to avoid confusion.  (Most know the way already.  Pug runs differ slightly from the way I'm spelling it out here, take note after portal 8, pugs go to 11 typically.  I find this silly as it just popped at that point, and there are others that have been up for much longer.)

I will now list the typical run that I do, with an image and numbering scheme for the portal order.  I'll list where portal keepers are going to pop, and when the portal keeper team should break away and go after them.

The caster on portal keeper duty, if you take out the mobs at each portal fully, portal keepers will not pop.

 

Portal #1:  Appears directly in front of you as you kill the last mob front the initial pull. 

Portal #2:  Appears West Side, up the ramp, take a left.  (You can see your next portal #3 to your left here)

Portal #3:  Appears East Side, up ramp, take a right, then left around the corner.

Portal #4:  Appears East Side, Top of the Ramp.

  • Portal Keeper Kill #1:  Portal Keeper hunters go into sneak mode, and go to the portal #3 location.  The portal keeper will appear where you first started the quest, down below.

Portal #5:  Appears Center, where the quest began.

  • Portal Keeper Kill #2:  Head to the west, up the ramp, take a left, he will be at the end of the alley.  Sneak up until you can see the mobs, and wait for the keeper to pop.

Portal #6:  Appears West Side, up the ramp, take a left and head straight down the alley.

Portal #7:  Appears West Side, Lower Half, In Alley.  From the last portal run straight back, and drop off into the alley. 

Portal #8:  Appears West Side, up the ramp, take a right.

  • Portal Keeper Kill #3:  Head to the east side, up the ramp, do a 180 and head north.  He will be at that portal there.

Portal #9:  Appears East Side, up the ramp, jump over the crack, don't go all the way up the ramp, to avoid the aggro of the portal in front of you, and head north.  You do not want the portal at the top of the ramp yet.

  • Portal Keeper Kill #4:  East side, at the top of the ramp.

Portal #10:  Appears East Side, Top of Ramp.  Its just behind you. 

  • Portal Keeper Kill #5:  This will will appear in the center section where you first started, west side of it.  You can get him from Portal #3 location again.

Portal #11:  Appears Center section, where we first started.

Portal #12:  Appears West Side, bottom of ramp.

  • Portal Keeper Kill #6:  He is on the west side, at the top of the ramp.

Portal #13:  Appears West Side, Top of Ramp.  Just to your left.

  • Portal Keeper Kill #7:  East Side, Lower Half, Before you get to the ramp on the left.  Do not go in the area, go to the center where you first started, hug the east wall, and you should be able to see him.

Portal #14:  Appears East Side, Lower Half, left side before you get to the ramp. 

  • Portal Keeper Kill #8:  Appears East Side, Top of the Ramp.  You can hit him being about half way up the ramp.

Portal #15:  East Side, top of the Ramp.  When your done, loot away!!
